🏆 Breakthrough Artist of 2025:
Some might say that I was perhaps a year too soon in selecting promising young Merseyside talent Dan Byrne as my Breakthrough Artist of 2025, being that his full length debut album ‘This Is Where The Show Begins’ isn’t released until May 2026. Others might say I’m a couple of years too late, as Dan announced himself as a solo artist in 2023, releasing his debut EP ‘Beginnings’ and touring the UK gig and festival circuit numerous times since then. Sometimes however, for an artist to really make an impression a certain amount of hype has to be generated before people really start to take notice.
Having toured with the likes of Tyketto, The Dead Collective, and The Dead Daisies, played many festivals, including Planet Rock Radio’s ‘Winter’s End’ festival, it was an amazing first couple of years for Dan Byrne as a solo artist. His singles ‘Hard To Breath’, ‘Death of Me’, ‘Saviour’, and my personal favourite ‘Sentimental’, spent many weeks in the playlists of UK rock-based and independent radio stations throughout 2025. Blending his incredibly impressive soulful vocal talents with feel good and perfectly crafted rock music, and taking on both a contemporary feel, yet with that familiar classic influence, this is an artist with incredible talents. Not since Nathan James first arrived on the scene with Inglorious, has an artist impressed me as much with such an incredible vocal range. Enough hard rock grit, mixed with melodic soulful undertones to match the greats of the past, David Coverdale, Robert Plant, Steve Perry and Chris Cornell… yes he’s that good!
It’ s fair to say that the foundations are firmly in place for another incredible year for Dan Byrne, a debut album and spring tour in the UK are just the start of what is ahead for this rising star. We’ve had a taste of the album singles, ‘Saviour’ released just before Christmas, and more recently ‘She’s The Devil’, another track that yet again highlights the stunning vocal range Dan has. Mark my words this guy will be in demand to play festivals in 2026, and with his current drive and determination who would bet against him achieving more success on the back of his debut album. ‘This Is Where The Show Begins’ will be released 22nd May via Frontiers Records.
