In RVM (Rear View Mirror) which is set for release on 24 October, Smalls bids a final farewell to the band he has been with for nearly half a century.
The track follows the release of the movie Spinal Tap II – The End Continues, which Smalls has described as a “another hatchet job that makes us look like a bunch of f*ckwits’. He describes the new song as “Speeding away from a four-decade accident”.
RVM (Rear View Mirror) will be released by Twanky Records on 24 October. Music and Lyrics are by Derek Smalls. Derek Smalls performs on bass and vocals with Marc Bonilla on guitar. On drums is Toss Panos with CJ Vanston on Keys. The track is engineered by Steve Genewick and it was recorded at Groove Masters.

After more than three decades, the legendary rock band Swedish Erotica is back with a brand-new single, "Little Dancer," set for release on October 31st across all major digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
"Little Dancer" marks a historic moment for the band -- it is the first song written and recorded together by the original members in 35 years.
One of Sweden's most celebrated rock bands from the late '80s, Swedish Erotica returns with their original lineup, reigniting the true spirit of classic melodic rock. The heavy metal visionaries collectively known as Avatar — vocalist Johannes Eckerström, guitarists Jonas Jarlsby and Tim Öhrström, bassist Henrik Sandelin, and drummer John Alfredsson — have gone from strength to strength to strength over the past several years.
There's the critically acclaimed, 2023-released album Dance Devil Dance, which included rock radio chart topper "The Dirt I'm Buried In." There have been scores of sold-out headline shows across the globe and an actual fossil named after them. The list goes on and on.
Avatar will spend the foreseeable future (if not forever) on the road — with tours supporting Iron Maiden throughout Europe summer 2025, a massive headline run across America with Alien Weaponry and Spiritworld, across Europe with Metallica in 2026, along with the band's biggest show ever in Mexico City.

The all-star hard rock collective Black Swan - featuring Robin McAuley (McAuley Schenker Group), Reb Beach (Winger, Whitesnake), Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, The End Machine, ex-Dokken), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr. Big) – are pleased to unveil their new single and official visualizer, “The Fire And The Flame”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.
With a new album coming soon, the new single “The Fire And The Flame” shows that the chemistry between the band members is undeniable: McAuley’s vocals remain as powerful and emotive as ever, while Beach, Pilson, and Starr bring dynamic energy and finesse to every track.

To celebrate the band’s 40th Anniversary, Eonian Records reissued Gastem’s long out-of-print albums, Catch the Flame (1985) and Do It Like Wild (1986), in newly remixed and remastered editions on September 1, 2025. The reissues feature numerous previously unreleased bonus tracks, rare archival photos, original and updated artwork, and exclusive track-by-track commentary from the band.

Welsh melodic AOR group are set to head to this years Winterstorm Festival as last minute replacements for US rockers Hardline, who dropped out of the event.
Formed in 2022 by Mark “Penfold” Powell (ex-drummer of Psycho Kiss) and Adam Payne (former vocalist of Airrace), Powell-Payne's journey began with a single goal - to create a heartfelt song dedicated to their lost loved ones, therefore they released the first single with Adam Davies and Steve Leyshon.
Mark and Adam then decided to bring in Aydan Watkins (Guitar) and Alex Anderson (Bass) to solidify the quartet and to be able to create the next chapter of songs. Now, with a full band in place, this gives the band the opportunity to tour the album and play in as many places as they can.
